Biology: Virtual Tour of an Animal Cell
Overview
This and other Biology interactives were created to accompany the 2008 release of Holt, Rinehart and Winston's high school Biology textbook. Each interactive was developed by Second Avenue Software's subject matter experts and instructional designers to supplement the material in the textbook. In this particular interactive, Virtual Tour of an Animal Cell, students have the opportunity to explore all the different parts that make up an animal cell. After investigating the structure and function of the various organelles, the student has the opportunity to build new cells to perform a specific function.
